Originally, Cap3 had planned to launch the first project funding round AFTER the sellout of Tier 1 Subscription Pass sales (1,750). We have since decided to expedite the process and cap Subscription Sales at 1,000 for the first project. This will allow a larger revenue share for each Subscription Pass holder.

Additionally, it will permit us to fund a new project and start sharing revenue faster than we had originally planned. Cap3 will start a Demo Day Twitter Space in March. Founders will be competing to be the first project selected and funded by Cap3. These founders will make their best pitch to members of the community in hopes of securing $100,000 in funding. MultiPass holders will join Genesis and Subscription Pass holders in selecting the prospective project. The voting is weighted as follows - each Genesis Passes = 120 votes, each Subscription Pass = 60 votes and each MultiPass = 6 votes. By using a weighted voting system, we are ensuring that each membership type has an impact on the outcome of the competition, while also taking into account the different levels of financial investment made by each member. These votes can be spread between any of the projects. The project with the most votes will win. Voting will end April 10th at 5 PM Eastern.

Community members will be able to utilize three different resources to underwrite their favorite project. First, each project has its own folder in Discord. The folder contains a pitch deck and all other relevant underwriting materials the founders deemed necessary. Only Cap3 passholders (Genesis, Subscription and MultiPass) have access to this gated feature. In addition, Office Hours will be made available for the community. Office Hours are designated time periods when founders do Q & A with community members on voice channels in discord. Lastly, Cap3 will hold Twitter Spaces to showcase each project and their founders. The Space will be recorded and available on our discord for those that can’t attend. Members can Q &A the founders on our discord up until the April 10th vote deadline.
